A couple of rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S21 have started to arrive as it is still months away from its launch. The company recently announced new 108MP, 64MP, 48MP, and 32MP mobile camera sensors, and it looks like we could easily find a couple of these in Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S flagship.
According to industry sources in Samsung’s home country, the new Samsung Galaxy S21 series will arrive with a quad camera setup, which will include two telephoto lenses. These sensors would help deliver a better variety of quality images at higher focal lengths. In other words, there would be less reason to zoom in by cropping a 108MP photo and trying to use AI to restore some of the details, just as we saw on the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
The new camera on the Galaxy S21 Ultra would use a standard 3x lens and a periscope-style module that would offer a magnification mode greater than 5X. Then we can find a 108MO wide-angle camera and another 12MP ultra-wide camera to complete the four-camera setup. A 40MP selfie camera is also expected on the Ultra version of the S21. Yes, only the Galaxy S21 Ultra, like the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 +, are not expected to feature major improvements in mobile photography. However, we can expect them to include a better OIS, perhaps sharper lenses.
Now, it appears that the Galaxy S21 Ultra will retain the battery size of its predecessor, as it is expected to include a 5,000 mAh battery, according to an internal source cited by Galaxy Club. They recently published that the model number and battery capacity inside the future Galaxy S21 Ultra are the same as the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
The battery model number for the Galaxy S21 Ultra is EB-BG998ABY and it is rated at 4.885 mAh, which would translate to a battery capacity of 5.00 mAh. The other variants of the Galaxy S21 are expected to come with larger batteries than their predecessors, which means more battery life than the upcoming Samsung flagships. Even more, if you consider that these new devices will include new 5nm Exynos and Snapdragon processors, that should be more energy efficient.
