The golden age of the Nokia brand is far behind, but HMD Global managed to at least save its reputation and give it a new image in this era of smartphones. The company has made many promises, most of them coming to fruition, and Nokia has once again earned a niche in the smartphone market. Now he seems ready to start something new, although no one knows. Thankfully, you only have to wait a week before HMD Global makes that big reveal, along with a mysterious special guest.
The invitation to your September event is sure to generate some theories and speculation, especially since HMD Global has been silent in recent months. In fact, it may have been too quiet, with some of its own fans wondering about many of the leaked Nokia phones that have yet to come to light.
Now HMD Global Product Manager Juho Sarvikas, who has practically become the public face of Nokia phones, has announced what is billed as a major event in the history of Nokia phones. There will also be a special guest, who could be a famous personality that the company has hired to market its phones.
Of course, HMD might just be exaggerating and their idea of a “next chapter” will just be another batch of phone updates. Like the original Nokia, HMD has gotten used to flooding the market with several phone models at once.
Hopefully, there will be some good news on September 22 for Nokia fans. The company has committed to stockpiling Android and rolling out timely updates, although its track record for the latter is not as consistent as some might have hoped. More importantly, however, HMD Global has yet to launch a Nokia flagship that could be considered a worthy rival to the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy S series or even OnePlus flagships.
