Scott Pilgrim’s Long Lost Game Finally Returns! The game, originally released in 2010, will finally return this holiday season! Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Full Edition It will be re-released for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia.
News of the relaunch comes shortly after the game’s 10th anniversary. The full edition will not only come with the game itself, but also its DLC, the Knives Chau add-on pack, and the Wallace Wells add-on pack.
Developed by Ubisoft and composed by Anamanaguchi, the game was a popular fighting game available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game was removed from the list in 2014, reportedly due to an expired license. Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley has repeatedly expressed disappointment over the years at the game’s sudden demise. Earlier this year, O’Malley said that Ubisoft had contacted him again.
A huge thank you to the fans who never shut up about Scott Pilgrim’s game, not once, not even for a second to let me sleep. This game belongs to you. Now please get out of my house
– Bryan Lee O’Malley (@bryanleeomalley) September 10, 2020
Following the announcement, O’Malley tweeted his thanks to all Scott Pilgrim fans for never letting the game down. If it weren’t for the extreme demand from fans for years since the game’s demise, we would never have gotten a re-release for all new consoles!
