Ubisoft Forward is only hours away from happening, but the leaks seem to be ruining some of the surprises. We’ve already heard rumors that a Prince of Persia remake will be announced, but now, thanks to Ubisoft’s uPlay launcher, the game has been confirmed.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will be announced later today. At uPlay in Russia, two banner images for the game were released early, giving a very brief look at what to expect visually:
The images appear to be from cinematic scenes from the 2003 remake of the game. People have already been quick to criticize the new appearance of the Prince in particular, but there is still a lot to learn about this game.
We can expect a full announcement and hopefully a trailer later tonight after Ubisoft Forward.
KitGuru Says: Prince of Persia looks set to make a long-awaited return, although this will have to live up to the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and the Spyro remakes, a less ambitious remaster will likely only cause disappointment. We should learn more in a few hours.
