PUBG Mobile players have spent more than $ 3.5 billion on the Battle Royale game, according to market analyst Sensor Tower, of which $ 500 million in the last 72 days.

The mobile version of PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds), the game that made the Battle Royale genre popular, has been available since 2018 – 2020 has been a great year for the game as people in quarantine have turned to PUBG Mobile for entertainment. It has made $ 1.8 billion and seen 198 million downloads so far this year.

PUBG Mobile reaches this milestone just days after India’s ban on the game in that country. According to Sensor Tower, 24% of global downloads for the game come from India. That may sound staggering, but India only accounts for 1.2% of PUBG Mobile’s revenue. Still, PUBG Corporation is working to get that money flowing again, so it is removing Tencent as the publisher of the game in India, and PUBG Corporation will take on those responsibilities.

Tencent is a Chinese company, so PUBG Mobile was banned in India. However, China remains the most lucrative market for the game, accounting for 53% of its global revenue.
