AMD has emailed HEXUS about two “unmissable events” which will take place in October. Whether you’re looking forward to the next big breakthrough from AMD in terms of CPU or GPU architecture, you’ll be covered as the upcoming Zen processor family / architecture and the latest RDNA graphics processor family / architecture will finally be unveiled in public ( course online).

Next Gen Ryzen

AMD Ryzen processors are going one step further up the performance ladder with the Zen 3 architecture. A portfolio of “high performance computing” The products will be unveiled at this, the first of two AMD events in October. So far, little is officially known about Zen 3 and this announcement and trailer don’t change that fact. The last solid information we got on Zen 3 was in June, from an investor presentation, which confirmed that Zen 3 would be produced in 7nm, more specifically in TSMC’s N7P process.

Dr. Lisa Su, CEO of AMD Tweeted His fanfare to an exciting October for gamers and included an announcement trailer for Zen 3. In the email we received, he added the following statement; “We are very excited to invite you to learn more about the next wave of Ryzen desktop processors with ‘Zen 3’ architecture, taking our leadership in PC gaming and content creation to new heights.”

Dr. Lisa Su and other top AMD executives will kick off the epic journey of ‘Zen 3’ and AMD Ryzen at 17:00 UK / 18:00 CET / 2pm ET, on 8th October.

Next-gen Radeon

AMD has confirmed that the next generation of Radeon graphics cards with RDNA 2 architecture will be called the RX 6000 series. Again, there is not much meat in this announcement and in the trailer video. All that we are promised is “a revolutionary gaming architecture” that will come to both PC and consoles: the RDNA 2 graphics architecture.

We got a bit more detail in our email, with AMD saying it’s been on “deep collaboration with game developers and ecosystem partners” to ensure RDNA 2 is compliant, and will form “The Future of Radeon PC Gaming”.

Next Generation Radeon Graphics Unveiling is at 17:00 UK / 18:00 CET / 2pm ET on the 28th October.
