Black Ops Cold War multiplayer reveal

[ad_1]

We’ll take our first real look at Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9, after seeing him in the game’s full reveal trailer.

In that trailer we saw a bit of action in the desert which I assume will be a new location on the Warzone map. After all, in the trailer we see a large extension with players in vehicles (including helicopters) which suggests to me that this was the iteration of the Warzone game rather than standard MP. With that said, the locations on the Warzone map will almost certainly be MP maps and campaign locations as well, at least in part.

The multiplayer reveal will presumably include both traditional multiplayer and Warzone content, unless Activision is really stingy and decides to save the Warzone reveal for later.

And to be honest, I don’t expect a lot of Warzone stuff in the MP reveal. Enough to arouse our curiosity. The rest will take place in the game over the next season or two as Modern war back off and Cold War take the helm.

I’m curious how this will work, less from a settings point of view and more from a game mechanics point of view. How will it work for Modern war players in Warzone who do not own Black Ops Cold War and vice versa? Will the Battle Pass no longer apply to Modern war? What about the new weapons? Will there be two separate battle passes for Modern war Can it continue into 2021 as a viable game as a service? Many questions. I don’t expect all of them to be answered in tomorrow’s reveal.

I hope to see:

  • Some new maps.
  • A new game.
  • Some new or changed game mechanics.
  • Information on equipment.
  • Information on the operators (and if there will be any special powers, which I doubt, and hope, will be included this time).
  • Zombie mode.
  • Information about upcoming Betas.

We can even learn about Zombie Royale in Warzone, but that’s a bit of a stretch, simply because I think it’s going to happen as a separate surprise in the game itself or as part of the season 6 reveal.
