Reverse surveyed 483 readers about their thoughts and preferences toward next-gen consoles. In one question, we asked, “How much are you willing to spend on a next-gen console?” Options included “keep my old hardware until the price drops”, $ 400, $ 500, $ 600, and “the sky’s the limit.” Of that survey, exactly 350 people said they were willing to spend $ 500 or more on PS5 and Xbox Series X, which is about 72 percent of all respondents.

More specifically, 208 people (43.1 percent) responded that they would spend up to $ 500 on next-gen consoles. 87 readers (18 percent) agreed with a price of $ 600 and 55 people (11.4 percent) said they were willing to pay even more.
