Huawei’s Advances Point to New Headphones, Smartwatches, and Laptops at Upcoming Event

Huawei has plans to launch several products on September 10, including new headphones, smartwatches, and more.

According to several leaked teasers viewed by Sparrow News and GSM stadium, Huawei plans to introduce FreeBuds Pro. These new truly wireless headphones would offer improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Although little else is known about them, the trailer suggests that the FreeBuds Pro might have a slightly different design than the FreeBuds 3.

Along with the FreeBuds teaser was a teaser for FreeLace Pro. Huawei’s FreeLace Pro is a set of neckband headphones, but GSM stadium notes that Huawei has already announced the FreeLace Pro. Considering that the FreeLace Pro was not on Huawei’s website at the time of writing this article, they may not be available until later this year, perhaps with other articles released in the next event. It’s also worth noting that previous FreeLace models didn’t make it to Canada, so it’s possible the FreeLace Pro didn’t either.

Another set of teasers hinted at FreeBuds Pro, FreeLace Pro, and two smartwatches and two laptops. It is not entirely clear what these devices are, as they are partially hidden by panes of frosted glass. GSM stadium suggests that an image shows a continuation of the Huawei Watch GT2, called GT2 Pro.

The other watch, which looks like an elongated Apple Watch, is likely the Huawei Watch Fit, which the company already announced but has yet to release.

Finally, the two laptops shown in the teaser could be updates to the current Huawei MateBooks with the new Intel 11th Gen Core chips. It is not clear what the gray laptop is, as almost all Huawei laptops come in gray. The other laptop, however, was mocked in a unique green color. According to Huawei’s website, only the MateBook X Pro 2020 comes in that color (that color is not available in Canada, unfortunately).

As such, I think we will see Huawei roll out updates to some of its laptops with new CPUs at the event. Of course, we won’t know for sure until September 10.
