Prince Harry proposed to Meghan Markle with a beautiful gold trilogy engagement ring in 2017.
Some 18 months later, royal fans noted that the Duchess of Sussex’s ring had received a significant upgrade when she introduced baby Archie to the world in May and she attended Trooping the Color a month later.
The gold band of the ring had been replaced by a delicate band of pavé diamonds. It had been reported that Meghan had changed it during her pregnancy, but it has now been revealed that it was actually a surprise gift from Prince Harry.
In real biography Find freedom, explain authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand: “On May 19, 2019, Harry also surprised his wife of one year with the gift of a ring that he had created with star jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, a favorite of Meghan.
“The conflict-free diamond eternity band paid tribute to the family of three with the birthstones of Meghan, Archie and Harry (peridot, emerald and sapphire, respectively) at the bottom of the ring.”
The jeweler also informed the authors that Prince Harry wanted to make the eternity ring ‘special’, as she told them: “‘He is the most beautiful person who ever lived. So romantic, so thoughtful.’ So much so that Harry also thought about resizing Lorraine and restoring Meghan’s engagement ring with a new diamond band.
When the couple publicly announced their engagement three years ago, Harry explained the sweet meaning behind their ring design.
In his first interview after breaking the news, he told the BBC: “The ring is obviously yellow gold because it is [Meghan’s] The favorite and the main stone itself, I got them from Botswana, and the little diamonds on either side are from my mother’s jewelry collection, to make sure she is with us on this crazy journey together. “
