Juventus have been linked to a move by free agent Edinson Cavani as talks for Luis Suárez and Edin Dzeko have reportedly cooled off.
The Old Woman works on the liberation of Gonzalo Higuaín this summer, leaving vacant the position of forward, with Suárez and Dzeko supposedly the two options to replace it.
Gianluca di Marzio of Sky Sport Italia reports that Dzeko’s move is essentially “blocked” for now, making it an unlikely option.
Similarly, Suarez’s change is complicated for a number of reasons, including that he does not have an EU passport, has not yet been released from Barcelona and could still remain at the club, now that Lionel Messi has declared his intention to stay
Di Marzio reports that the Bianconeri could now turn their attention to Cavani, who is a free agent, having exhausted his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite Juve’s alleged interest, ESPN Brasil reports (see below) suggest that the Brazilian Guild has reached an agreement for the Uruguayan.
Running to South America! 😍 They report from Brazil that Edinson Cavani and Gremio reached an agreement and the Uruguayan will be presented on Monday in Porto Alegre. If so, the forward will play the #LIBERTADORESxESPN for the first time in his career. 🏆 🇺🇾 pic.twitter.com/ytFkVYVx4R
