The Tigray region reportedly finalized preparations for holding elections in the region amid complaints from the Raya and Wolkait-Tegede Geographical Restoration and Identity committees and the Raya Rayuma political party that non-Tigrayans were mobilized to participate. in elections by force.

The committees affirmed that the federal government is responsible for ensuring that the decisions passed by the House of Federation (HoF) and for stopping the elections in the Tigray region.
