Puma Looks Ready to Celebrate Super Mario’s 35th Anniversary in Nintendo-Themed Sneakers

It does not look like reasonable plumber shoes, we may add.

In recent years, we’ve seen sportswear giant Puma get into vidya with various crossovers: Two years ago there was a line of Sonic-style sneakers, and last year the company partnered with Tetris to bring its line of shoes based on in Tetris (more comfortable than you might imagine looking at this particular intersection).

Now it looks like Puma and Nintendo are teaming up for a similar Super Mario Crossover game, there’s no question that it’s a plumbing bond for the upcoming 35th anniversary. As Press Start reported, a pair of Super Mario shoes (or sneakers as we say about these parts) have appeared on Footlocker.

The product page has since been removed, but not before the internet took a look at the red and blue shoes:

It appears to be only a matter of time before it is officially revealed, as rumors of other announcements related to the plumber’s 35th anniversary continue to grow. In addition to the distinctive color scheme, Super Mario’s trademark is limited to the tongues of each shoe and the cute Starman on the back. Good tone!

striking? Too? Or are you wondering if those sleek, subtle yellow buckles (denoting the plumber’s buttons) are wondering if you can pull off this look? Let us know if you will be using it in the bar below.
