Capcom announced Resident Evil Village, the eighth main game in the survival horror series, in June. The next Resident Evil is coming to PlayStation 5, Windows PC via Steam, and Xbox Series X sometime in 2021. Biohazard village, released today on Steam, is not that game, despite its too close name and logo for legal convenience.
You could see how there could be some confusion between the two. After all, Capcom calls the series Resident Evil Biohazard in its home country of Japan. In fact, next year’s next-gen horror game will be called Biohazard village overseas, according to the game’s Japanese website, so Capcom is likely to be opposed to the new release from upstart developer Forest Games. And the Biohazard village that hit Steam today also styles the word “town” to look like Roman numerals.
Forest Games describes its Biohazard village as “a third person shooter game in which you will play as a girl fighting a zombie in a city where a man-made disaster has occurred.”
“People turned into zombies,” says Steam’s description of the Windows PC game. “There is only you, your weapon and a lot of zombies in the post-apocalyptic town. You must win to survive. “
While the Biohazard village that you can buy today lacks originality (and seems almost impossible to play, based on the game trailer on Steam) and does not feature Wide Chris, it has an advantage: it only costs $ 1.19, not that we recommend that you buy it even at that price.
