Audio company Sennheiser has introduced a new pair of true wireless headphones called the CX 400BT, which offer ‘exceptional sound quality’, deep bass and more, according to the company. The CX 400BT follows the true MOMENTUM wireless headphones previously released by the company, this time offering high fidelity, noise reduction and more.
True wireless headphones are, of course, headphones without a cable connecting them. Sennheiser says it built the CX 400BT for users who have ‘fast-paced and always-on’ lifestyles. Among other things, users can expect seven hours of headphone run time per charge, plus another 20 hours of playtime with the model’s charging case.
Additionally, the CX 400BT has built-in noise-canceling microphones for taking calls and accessing assistants like Siri. Sennheiser promises ‘crystal clear’ audio from its latest model, which also has customizable touch controls so that the user can interact with them in the most natural way.
The headphones are compatible with Android and iOS, as well as codecs like aptX, SBC, and AAC. Delving into the specs, it appears that Sennheiser included 7mm dynamic drivers on the CX 400BT, the same ones found on the same company’s MOMENTUM True Wireless 2 model. The design is described as minimalist; customers can get them in black and white color options, plus they come with four size adapters.
The CX 400BT works with Sennheiser’s Smart Control app, which allows users to adjust the audio to their own tastes using the equalizer. However, Sennheiser says users are guaranteed ‘detailed highs’ and ‘natural mids’ right out of the box, in addition to that deep bass, of course. The new model will hit stores on September 15 for $ 199.95 USD.
