The purported design schematics of an updated iPad with a 10.8-inch screen have been shared by 91Mobiles.
The schematics reportedly show an iPad with a 10.8-inch screen. This correlates with an earlier report from supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who explained that Apple’s options to launch a new 10.8-inch iPad in the second half of 2020.
Even if 91Mobiles Claims that the schematics are low-cost, eighth-tech iPad,, it is also feasible that the device shown is in fact an iPad Air 4.
Earlier this week, photos allegedly showed a leaked manual for the iPad Air 4, and the iPad from that leaked manual appears to be similar to the product in these schematics. Ming Chi-Kuo’s report also did not specify whether the 10.8-inch iPad product will be a new edition of the current 10.2-inch iPad or the 10.5-inch iPad Air, and it appears that the leaks on both iPads may have combined.
The schematics warn that the unreleased iPad should have two speakers, four microphones, and a USB-C port. The rear of the machine reveals a lone digital camera with an LED flash and a magnetic smart connector. The location of this wise connector reinforces previous rumors that the Magic Keyboard accessory will be compatible with newer types of iPad.
91Mobiles Statements that this iPad will have Face ID, but that it does not seem likely that it will present rumors that the iPad Air 4 has a Contact ID sensor in the electric power button instead of Face ID.
The images indicate that the device will appear equivalent to the iPad Professional, with thinner bezels and square edges. A configuration of four stereo speakers and twin cameras would be reserved for the iPad Pro. If this system is really the reduced load iPad, the schematics would show that Apple is looking to consolidate the style language across the entire iPad line. It is also possible that both the minimal cost iPad and iPad Air 4 share the same design, hence the combination of leaks, but it varies in the conditions of the internal components.
The new iPad is rumored to be released next month. Apple unveiled a lengthy checklist of unreleased iPad and Apple View types in a Eurasian database this week, indicating new gear is on the horizon. According to leaker Jon Prosser, Apple’s programs to introduce at least some new versions of iPad and Apple Watch via a press release in September, adopted by the new iPhones at an event in October.
