On October 1, Capcom will release Monster Hunter World: Icebornefinal title update. But Capcom saved the best for last, as their final update brings fan-favorite Fatalis back to Castle Schrade.
For those who never faced Fatalis in the original Monster hunter – or many of the other games it has appeared in – is a giant black dragon. Unlike some of the other Monster Hunter dragons, Fatalis is a traditional Arthurian beast, with dark scales, large wings, and fire coming from its throat.
In Monster Hunter World: IceborneFatalis is a special fight, and it seems like a hybrid between a battle in the arena and the spectacle of something like Zorha Magdaros. Players can use siege weapons like the Dragonator, cannons, and crossbows to help them defeat Fatalis.
Capcom decided to add Fatalis to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne after a strong reaction to the 15th anniversary art. “We decided that we wanted to show Fatalis for the first time in a long time,” said CEO Kaname Fujioka. “As expected to take something from the past, the old assets were outdated and difficult to use, even after retouching them in CG. So we decided to correctly recreate Fatalis for the 15th anniversary. It went completely viral on the Internet. It was a success. And we thought, ‘okay, we can’t stop playing now.’

As always, Fatalis comes with new resources to carve, which hunters can turn into weapons and armor. But for Fatalis, Palico’s armor greatly outshines Hunter’s armor. The Fatalis set turns Palico into a mini black dragon: Fatalis with cuter eyes.
Better, Fatalis Palico’s weapon is a small hunter. When holstered, the Hunter rides on the Palico’s back. But when it’s time to fight, the Palico rips off the hunter’s back and begins slaying monsters with it. It’s the best and stupid in a game full of cool and stupid things.
To fight Fatalis, players must complete the Iceborne Alatreon history and research.
Fatalis is released in conjunction with patch 15.01, which adds additional features to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
Alongside Fatalis, there’s a new limited-time quest for short-tempered Velkhana. There are also a host of new additions to the system, like a new Clutch Claw Boost, new gems in Elder Melder, new layered armor, new pendants, and voice acting where there were none before. Capcom will announce which bugs the patch fixes at a later date.
There will also be a new Halloween celebration, the Fun Fright Festival.
As a final update, this new addition to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne prepares the game for maintenance mode, as players are probably looking forward to the next Monster Hunter game. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne you will still see new event quests for the foreseeable future.
