The Ravens were awarded their 18th record national title after league organizers’ decision to end the competition amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
TP Mazembe won his title number 18 in the league of the Democratic Republic of the Congo after the cancellation of the 2019-20 season by the Federation of the Congo Soccer Federation.
The country’s soccer governing body had made this decision on Wednesday as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread globally.
As a result, the Ravens won the league title while leading the record before the top flight was suspended. They will represent the country in next year’s Caf Champions League alongside runner-up AS Vita Club.
Meanwhile, AS Maniema will participate in the Caf Confederation Cup while OC Bukavu Dava and AS Nyuki will start Life Division two next season.
