Respawn has been teasing us about Loba for a couple of weeks now, but we finally know exactly what Apex LegendsThe new character is capable of. On Monday, the developer released Loba’s full kit and all of her loot-focused skills.
Here are the details, directly from Respawn:
Tactical skill: Buglar’s best friend
Teleport to hard-to-reach places or quickly escape trouble by launching your Jump Drive bracelet.Passive ability: an eye for quality
The nearby loot from Epic and Legenday can be seen through the walls. The range is the same as Black Market Boutique.Supreme Skill – Black Market Boutique
Attach a portable device that allows you to teleport loot near your inventory. Each friendly or enemy legend can take up to two elements.
Loba’s kit seems appropriate for a master thief. Almost all skills have something to do with loot or getting out of a difficult situation. While the ability to see some loot through the walls should come in handy in matches, especially early and midgame, its ending will be a bit more situational. It’s easy to see how you could use it to get your squad out of a jam when you run out of ammo at the end of the game, but it can take a little more creativity to use it effectively in the middle of a game.
The real star of the show will likely be Loba’s teleportation, which on paper sounds like one of the most powerful abilities of all Apex Legends. You will be able to teleport to places that would otherwise be difficult to reach or even confuse enemies by teleporting behind them or to where you are already standing for a little misdirection.
Loba will be added to the game as part of Apex Legends season 5, which begins on May 12. It will be available in the in-game store, just like all Apex Legends“Characters previously released.
