Total laboratory tests performed within 24 hours are 1,764; of these eleven (11) of them are confirmed as positive for COVID-19 and the total number of confirmed cases to date is two hundred and fifty (250). All confirmed positive cases are Ethiopian, of which 10 are male and 1 is female, and their age ranges from 18 to 38 years. Among the identified cases 5 of them are from Addis Ababa, 2 from the Tigray region (Tigray Quarantine Center), 3 from the Afar region (Afar Quarantine Center) and 1 from the Oromia region (Isolation Center from Adama)

• In today’s report, the two cases included in the Tigray region are those reported yesterday by the region.
The tests were conducted at the Ethiopian Institute of Public Health, the Armauer Hanssen Research Institute, the Ethiopian Institute of Biotechnology, the Adama Public Health Research and Reference Laboratory, the Tigray Institute of Public Health, the Institute of Public Health of Amhara (Bahir Dar), the Afar Regional Laboratory, the PHREM Laboratory of Addis Ababa, Laboratory of the University of Haramaya and Laboratory of the University of Jigjiga.
In addition, six (6) people from Addis Ababa recovered from the disease, making the total number of recoveries one hundred and five (105).

Considering the increase in transmission of COVID-19, the Ministry of Health and the Ethiopian Institute of Public Health would like the public to strictly adhere to all precautionary measures.
