The arrival of Apex Legends Season 5 will also bring a new expansion to the game called Quests, the first of which has been detailed. Called “The Broken Ghost”, this Quest will revolve around the new character Wolf, a thief who was correctly introduced earlier this month. Players will be tasked with finding nine pieces of an artifact and more, including daily challenges.
“The Broken Ghost” will be the first seasonal mission in Apex Legends, according to EA, which detailed the game’s new feature on its website this week. As part of this quest, players must find nine pieces of some “priceless relic,” one of which is being sought by the character Loba Andrade.
To participate, players must first collect Treasure Packs from Ranked Matches, Duos, and Trios. Players will be able to earn a maximum of one per day, offering rewards and new fighters for the relic shards. These daily treasure packs will be joined by weekly hunts for the pieces.
Each successful hunt will give rewards to players and unlock additional parts of the overall “Broken Ghost” storyline, revealing what the artifact is and why it is so important. Players who manage to find all nine relic pieces are promised rewards, plus there’s a provocation about uncovering “a secret Earthlands might not be ready for.”
The missions have an obvious appeal: It gives players a new reason to play daily and weekly, helping to keep the Battle Royale title fresh with expanded gameplay and an expanding story. Players can expect a total of 45 Treasure Packs this game season with one for the daily collective.
