Automobili Lamborghini reveals the new Spyder Hurricane EVO with rear-wheel drive, which is using Augmented Reality (AR) for the first time on its official website. The new Huracán EVO (RWD) rear-wheel drive is a true Lamborghini, both with and without the roof, offering great dynamism and outstanding performance.
Technically, the Huracan Evo is always paired with an atmospheric 5.2L V10. Unlike the 4-wheel drive version, where it develops 640 hp in the RWD versions, its horsepower has been deflated to 610 hp. The torque of 560 Nm is always obtained at the stratospheric speed of 6,500 rpm.
The loss of the hard top, replaced by a soft top, has a direct consequence on the model’s weight. The Huracan Evo RWD Spyder weighs 120kg more on the scale (1509kg dry) than the coupe. It takes 3.5 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km / h (62 mph) and has a top speed of 324 km / h (201 mph).
To save your brushing from showers at that speed, the hood is essential. The Spyder’s soft top roof stows in 17 seconds under the rear hood, even while driving at 50 km / h (31 mph).
Aesthetically, the Hurricane Evo RWD Spyder stands out for its new front splitter, larger vertical fins that are framed within the front air intakes, and the shiny black rear bumper with a new exclusive diffuser. Mount 19 “Kari wheels with specially developed Pirelli P Zero wheels, with optional 20” wheels and carbon ceramic brakes. In the passenger compartment, an 8.4-inch HMI touchscreen located in the center console is responsible for controlling car functions and providing extensive connectivity, Internet access, and Apple CarPlay.
On the other hand, the ANIMA button located on the steering wheel allows you to control the different driving modes of the vehicle: STRADA mode provides stability and safety in all conditions, minimizing slippage of the rear wheels and managing torque delivery on low surfaces adherence; SPORT mode makes the driver enjoy drifting fun, allowing the rear wheels to slide and slip during acceleration, with limited torque when the oversteer angles increase rapidly so the driver can stabilize and control the car. And finally, the CORSA mode optimizes traction and agility when exiting a curve in extremely sporty conditions, maximizing dynamics and speed.
First customers will receive the new Lamborghini Huracán EVO RWD Spyder in the summer of 2020 at $ 229,428.
