Kylian Mbappe was reportedly about to complete a transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid shortly before soccer was postponed amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The French World Cup winner has long been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabéu, with Real Zinedine Zidane boss pointing at the 21-year-old as a vital piece of his puzzle as he seeks to rebuild the Spanish giants.

Mbppe is signed to PSG until the summer of 2022, but has shown little desire to sign a new deal with the Ligue 1 team, increasing the likelihood that the club will need to sell this summer to get the most value.

Zidane has never hidden his admiration for Mbappe, declaring his “love” for him at a press conference shortly before his royal team faced PSG in the Champions League earlier this season.
