Former Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey has praised his Juventus teammate Cristiano Ronaldo for his winning attitude and mindset.

Ramsey has played alongside the five-time Ballon d’Or winner since his transfer to Turin by the Gunners last summer, and is clearly impressed by what he has seen of Ronaldo.

Speaking on Instagram Live with singer Niall Horan, they asked Ramsey about the Portuguese striker, and he did not hold back his cheer for the 35-year-old.

“He is an exceptional athlete,” said Ramsey. “First he is in the gym, first he performs his entire routine and then he goes out to the fields.”

“He’s a winner, he wants to win every game, every little game, whatever it is, then he’s going to be there practicing his free throws and stuff and shooting.”

“You don’t need me to tell you how good or impulsive he is, he’s amazing, he’s one of the best in the history of the game.”

Ronaldo has recently isolated himself in his native Madeira, although he received a bandage after leaving his home to train at a stadium on the island.

The heads of government warned Ronaldo that he cannot expect any “privilege” and must lead by example by complying with current social distancing regulations to stop the spread of the virus.

Madeira chief of health Pedro Ramos said: “Ronaldo does not have a special permit to train.

“You have the right to train as long as you respect the rules like all citizens, there is no privilege.

“All citizens can leave the house and do so, provided they do not provoke meetings and keep a safe distance during exercise. Therefore, Ronaldo did what we have seen.

“There was no special authorization because we are all the same, we all face the same pandemic.”
