Calling all Eagles fans! ESPN has special plans for you this July 4th weekend.
The sports broadcast network will air the sold-out stops from the 2018 tour of the Los Angeles-based rock band at The Forum on September 12, 14 and 15. Special guest artists joined Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, The Eagles performed 26 songs each of those nights that have now been compiled into a live album “Live From The Forum MMXVIII” and a concert film set to premiere on ESPN this Sunday, July 5 at 8pm ET.
“Sports and music have long been at the top of the list for being able to bring people of all kinds together. The Eagles have been doing that for almost half a century,” he said. Directed by Nick Wickham on 14 4K cameras, “Live From The Forum MMXVIII” will be available on October 16 through Rhino in various audio and video formats, including Blu-ray, CD, vinyl and streaming. The seminal set captures the band’s iconic hits (“Hotel California”, “Take It Easy”, “Life In The Fast Lane”, “Desperado”) and the solos of the individual members (“Boys Of Summer” by Don Henley and Joe Walsh’s “Rocky Mountain Trail”).

All formats of the live album and concert film are currently available for pre-order on the Eagles’ official website and Rhino.com before airing on ESPN this Sunday night for what Burke Magnus, Executive Vice President of ESPN, Procurement Programming and Programming, described as a “momentous event of one of the sports cathedrals – The Forum” in the statement.
