Former NBA star Jillian Rose could not be “canceled” on ESPN on Wednesday night – but she will appear if her comments are cut short.
Rose, 47, who played for six teams from 1994-2007 before becoming an analyst for ESPN, used the broadcast of Network Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals to issue his stance on Taylor’s recent decision.
He began by making a few comments about the performance of Miami heat guard Tyler Harrow during a game against the Boston Celtics before calling for the arrest of three police officers involved in the March deadly shooting.
“He put to work … young Phela, but it would be a great day for the police to arrest the killer of Brenna Taylor!” The network quickly roared before cutting into the commercial.

Earlier Wednesday, a grand jury in Kentucky indicted one of the three police officers involved in the drug operation in Louisville, Q., which led to Taylor’s death. However, the jury did not charge any other officer in the case.
Bret Fischer Brett Hankinson, who was fired in June, was put in unqualified risk on three counts in the first degree. A warrant was issued for his arrest and he was reportedly charged and released on 15 15,000 bail.
Thousands of people protested in more than a dozen U.S. cities on Wednesday night over the decision. At least two police officers were shot dead in Louisville amid protests in the city.
On Wednesday’s pre-game pre-show, Rose, a member of the University of Michigan’s Fab Five in the early 1990s, talked about how blacks hurt and NBA players – mainly African-American leagues – were “performing. With heavy hearts.”
Rose also warned that she could possibly say something during the broadcast that could jeopardize her job.

“I can’t lie to you,” he said during the Pragam show.
“When [NBA players] Performing with a heavy heart to win the championship, I understand that trying to show up to work and really entertain is really painful, ”he added.
