ESPN analyst says Alabama “is no longer the undisputed king of the SEC”

Here we go again.

A low season is never a low season, unless a media outlet or journalist publishes information about Alabama football that is no longer the best.

Before Dan Wolken wrote his article to USA TODAY about the Crimson Tide championship series ending in 2015, media experts gathered at the SEC Media Days in July and said Tide was in too much trouble.

Alabama turned criticism into a national title, and now ESPN’s Brad Edwards is re-emerging an old story. After his sophomore year without a college football playoff title, Edwards made an SEC preview video last week and said Tide is no longer the undisputed king of the SEC.

“LSU dismantled the Crimson Tide in 2019 by first winning at Tuscaloosa, and then bringing home the national and conference titles,” said Edwards. “Auburn has beaten Alabama in two of the past three years, and Georgia took control of the tide in the 2017 and 2018 seasons.”

While all of this was true, LSU had to wait five points to win, there were questionable doubts at last year’s Iron Bowl, and Georgia was unable to pull the trigger in both matches, despite having a tidal lead in both titles. the PPC game and SEC title contest.

The most important thing Edwards mentioned was the way Alabama was built under Nick Saban has started to fall apart

As the offensive tends forward, he said the defense is heading in the opposite direction.

Alabama has dealt with unfortunate injuries in the past two seasons and has led to Saban parting ways with Scott Cochran, the Tide’s chief conditioning officer for the past 13 years. With a healthy roster and new sports performance staff, Saban he hopes to make the national media eat his words again.

It was the third year in a series to serve as a national title year. This fall marks the third year in a series for Alabama.

It doesn’t pay attention to media information, but Saban He is ready to see his team return to the big stage and finish the job.
