ESPN 300 QB Scheduler Sanders joins Dead Dion Sanders at Jackson State

ESPN 300 quarterback Shander Sanders flipped his commitment from the FAU to Jackson State University, where his father, Dion Sanders, is head coach.

Shedier was originally committed to the FAU in July and is the highest committed to the program since the 2021 class. Once her father was taken over by Jackson State in September, it seemed like it was just before Shadie made the switch. .

He made that decision official on Friday and now Jackson State has the highest-ranked prospect ever, and is the only ESPN 300 prospect to commit to HBCU. Sanders is an overall 60-ranked recruit, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound quarterback at Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, Texas.

It wasn’t hard to decide to go to her dad’s new school. The two have already had a coach-quarterback relationship, as Dion is an abusive coordinator of schedule at high school.

Over the past three seasons, Shidu has thrown for 8,925 yards, 123 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. During that time he ran 198 yards and 22 touchdowns while helping his team to two state championships.

Jackson State also received a commitment from three-star athlete Herman Smith on Friday; He was previously committed to the state of San Diego. He is 5-11, 190 pounds likely from Lincoln High School in California and is a potential defender at the next level.

Five total commitments have been added to the program since Dion Sanders was taken in, including Sheodier, Smith and three-star defensive tackle Brazon Ross.
