Eric Trump calls on Biden to answer for ‘very discriminatory’ process of choosing running mate

Eric Trump then told a story from a campaign appearance in Florida, where he accompanied state GOP leaders on a three-day bus trip.

“There was a great Hispanic woman who came up to me and she said, ‘You know, I’m deeply offended,'” he said. “‘Why could I not have controversy? Why were only African-American women in controversy? What about, you know, Spanish Americans? I mean, what about – what about me?'”

Trump claimed that Biden “had himself in the box” to choose a woman of color to be his running mate.

“I think what he did was actually very discriminatory. That means, even if he chose to choose who he ultimately did, he really discriminated against other minority groups who have wonderful people, who are incredibly capable people. who had a lot of great options. ” Said Trump. “He boxed himself in, but in doing so, he actually discriminated against great people who were great. And, you know, I think at some point he has to answer for that.”
