As scientists from around the world race to make the COVID-19 vaccine, staff at a cafe in Prague have taken on a race of a different race.
A Reuters report said Milinska Cafe puts electric slot car tracks on its bars as restaurants close for indoor dining.
Staff at a popular cafe in the local art community are still working to prepare a takeout order, but now they have something to capture between orders, according to the report. After meeting a worker in storage at home they decided to set the track.

The beer twists the race track between tsp, has a glass of wine glass on the bar and includes a loop-de-loop between the two tables.
“It was a sudden thought,” Smack, the bar manager, told Reuters. “We said we can’t have such fun when we have 3 guests if we can’t use the space as we used to.”

The last two months have seen a dramatic increase in newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Czech Republic and the highest increase in per capita coronavirus infections and deaths in the last week.
On October 14, Czech authorities banned gatherings of more than six people and dined in restaurants and bars in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19.

On Sunday, about 2,000 protesters rallied against the ban and clashed with riot police in Prague, The Guardian reported.
The virus has infected more than 188,000 people and killed 1,600 in the Czech Republic, according to Joachim Hopkins University.
