The woman had pointed to a passer-by at another service station, stating that “ her husband had assaulted her at her Goodyear home in the past few hours, ” according to the police report obtained by Fox 10.
The passerby led the woman, who was not named, to Circle K and called 911, at which point the woman identified Gray as her husband.
Police said the woman had multiple visible injuries to her body and that they said Gray had strangled her at one point, causing her to temporarily pass out.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries and released.

Gray (pictured in 2018, left and 2017, right) was arrested after his wife told police that he had been assaulting her for hours and strangled her until he was temporarily unconscious.
Gray locked himself in his house (pictured) when the police arrived to speak to him. He turned himself in to the police the following morning at 7 a.m. and was arrested.
Upon arriving at his home later, police said Gray refused to leave the property and locked himself in.
Between the barricade situation and the possible domestic violence felony, police called Goodyear SWAT and Crisis Negotiations to the scene, AZ Family reported.
Gray locked himself in the house overnight, and finally turned himself in to authorities without incident around 7 am Monday.
Gray was arrested and jailed.
He was detained and searched at the Maricopa County Jail.
Gray now faces charges including assault (domestic violence), aggravated assault (strangulation), and disorderly conduct.
After his discharge from hospital, Gray’s wife is being assisted by Goodyear detectives and a victim advocate, AZ Family reported.
Gray is not the only cast member of the Empire facing legal problems now.
Co-star Jussie Smollett has been charged with several felonies related to the alleged forgery of being a victim of a hate crime while living in Chicago in February 2019.
Smollett filed a police report alleging that he had been attacked by two men while walking down the street late at night, who used racist and homophobic slurs while assaulting him. Then he said they tied a rope around his neck and threw bleach at him.
After an investigation, police said Smollett’s attackers were actually two Nigerian brothers that the actor had paid to attack him in an effort to increase his profile and salary for the television series.
In February 2020, a grand jury charged Smollett with six serious misdemeanor crimes related to four false reports he gave to police about the alleged attack.
The city of Chicago is also suing Smollett for $ 130,000 in overtime that was paid to officers who investigated the alleged attack.
Smollett has claimed he is innocent of the charges and sued Chicago for criminal prosecution in the fall of 2019.
