The latest LP by the British singer and songwriter Brightest Blue (Polydor) steps forward to lead the Official UK List Update, with a lead of nearly 3,000 combined sales in the midweek stage, reports the OCC.
It is the country’s best-seller on CD and downloads in the last three days.
Should Brightest Blue hold position, will be Goulding’s third UK No. 1 after debut in 2010 Lights and 2012 Kingfisher. Pop Artist’s Latest Album, 2015 Delirium, it peaked at n. ° 3.
Reaching number 2 on the midweek chart is Bob Dylan’s 39th studio album Rough and noisy ways (Columbia), which increases 24-2 after its vinyl release.
Last month, the songwriting genius became the oldest man (at 79) to claim a UK number 1 following its release on CD and digital formats.
Joy Division’s classic final album Near (London) soars to number 3, thanks to its 40th anniversary reissue treatment, while veteran country trio The chicks (formerly Dixie Chicks) returns to the next level with Gas lighter (Columbia), her first album released in 14 years. It is at n. # 4 and is aiming to be his highest ranked album.
