Ellen DeGeneres’ ‘strange’ lawsuits revealed by television production company

Ellen left an impression of less than DeGeneres in Down Under.

The television presenter’s staff was walking on eggshells while making a series of “strange” demands during a 2013 appearance on Australia’s “Today” show, said a former producer of the morning show.

“[Ellen DeGeneres’] The producers called us aside … and said, ‘Now Neil, no one should speak to Ellen. You don’t talk to her, you don’t go near her, you don’t look at her, ‘”Neil Breen said this week on 4BC radio station, where he is now hosting.

The lawsuits came after Ellen’s staff had already “diluted” her appearance on “Today” from a co-host location for the Sydney-based show to doing an interview in Melbourne, meaning the production had to move 443 miles Breen said.

“‘She will come in, sit down, talk to Richard and then Ellen will leave.’ And like I said, ‘Can’t I look at her?’ All this seemed strange to me, ”he added.

He also said his team controlled how the interview would be conducted, from lighting to seats. Breen said he couldn’t say what kind of person DeGeneres was, since “he never spoke to her.”

“I have no idea if he is a good person or not, he would have no idea,” he added. “But I can tell you that the people who worked with her walked on eggshells all the time, and it was all totally weird.

“We are there to do an interview to promote what you are doing, but can’t you watch it? Someone becomes real.

A representative from “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Breen’s disclosures came after WarnerMedia announced that it had formally launched an investigation into the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” following a series of accusations against the workplace.
