Ellen DeGeneres has no indication where any rule for eye contact began

Ellen DeGeneres does not know where the rule for no eye contact came from on the set of her eponymous talk show during the day.

Sources exclusively told Page Six that during DeGeneres’ Zoom call with her staff on Monday afternoon, she talked about the unspoken rule that prevented everyone from looking at her.

“I do not know where it started,” said DeGeneres, 62. “Please talk to me. Look me in the eye.”

Describing the rumor line as “crazy”, DeGeneres went on to say, “It’s crazy, just not true. I do not know how it started. [It’s] not who I am. ”

A former producer of Australia’s’ Today ‘show in July revealed the “bizarre” demands of DeGeneres’ staff when she appeared on the show in 2013.

” She’s coming in, she’s sitting, she’s talking to Richard and then Ellen’s gone, ” Neil Breen reminded her staff he told him. ‘And I said something,’ I can not see her? ‘I found it very special. ‘

Our sources also said that DeGeneres plans to interact more with her staff while they work on the upcoming season of the show, where she was excited to get back.

We are told that WarnerMedia is nearing the end of its investigation into “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, which has already fired three top producers from its ranks: executive producers Ed Glavin and Kevin Leman and co-executive producer Jonathan Norman.

Instead, DeGeneres’ own DJ, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who recently said there is “love” on set, is the name co-executive producer, Deadline reported.

The removal of the top producers came after staff members accused them of sexual abuse.
