Einstein’s theory will need to be ‘reconsidered’ after finding strange gravity: ‘not science fiction’ | Science | News

The first direct observation of gravitational waves was announced by the Laser Interferometer Gravity-Wave Observatory (LIGO) as a major step forward for science. Previously, the effect of gravitational waves on the timing of pulsars in binary star systems and the form of this wave were only indirectly predicted to match Einstein’s prediction of general relativity. But American theoretical physicist Dr. James Gates says there is another theory of the German genius that may soon prove to be true.

Speaking during the Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s StarTalk podcast, he said: “In 1905, Einstein wrote four papers, and one of those papers points out that the amount of energy required.

“We know that Einstein did not like quantum theory, but because of this paper on the photoelectric effect he is really one of the founding fathers.

“Now that we have seen the waves of gravity, we want to see the amount of radiation carried by those waves.

“When we do that, there will be gravity in our universe.

“You want to be able to see the amount of energy radiation that gravitational waves have, which tells you that gravity – at that time it is no longer science fiction – is a part of science.”

In theoretical physics, gravity is the imaginary amount of gravity, an elementary particle that mediates the force of gravity.

T. Tyson broke it down for a simple explanation.

He added: “Photons are a particle of light, but you can also speak of light as waves, so it is a perfect analogy.

“We’ve measured gravitational waves, now we want to measure its particles.”

But Dr. White said the discovery of gravity could detract from that.

He added: “Investigating Gravity It is important to rethink what gravity is.

“There are some of us already. I don’t think about gravity in terms of geometry, it seems like a theory.”

To confirm, Dr. Tyson asked: “What you are saying is that Einstein’s theory facilitates you in certain situations that give you the correct answer?

“You’re better than that, but isn’t that the whole story?”

Dr. White confirmed that the statement is true, explaining that more work is needed to gain a better understanding of what gravity is.
