Eighth practice day: Chiefs Fisher, Clark back on the field at Arrowhead

On Saturday, the Kansas City Chiefs celebrated their eighth full practice of their training camp for 2020 – one of 14 they will run before the camp is complete.

But this time, the team moved the practice facility session across the parking lot to Arrowhead Stadium, performing their drills and scrimmages for 2,000 members of socially distant season tickets.

The big news is that Eric Fisher was back on the field from left to right, along with defensive end Frank Clark. Fisher has been on hearing protocol all week – and the Chiefs said he will remain in the protocol, although he will be allowed to work. Clark had previously missed almost all of his full-time training camp because he was battling a stomach virus.

New injuries included defensive lineman Mike Danna – said to be dealing with a calf injury – and fellow defensive lineman Demone Harris, who was kept out with a back injury. Broad receiver Tyreek Hill also missed Saturday’s practice with a hamstring injury.

Other players kept out of practice on Saturday included defensive end Alex Okafor (bald) and tight end Deon Yelder (body).

Offensive lineman Martinas Rankin missed the practice as well. He remains on the list with physically inactive.

The Chiefs will return to their training facility for Sunday’s session. Next Saturday, they will return to Arrowhead for another practice session for members of the season ticket.
