Massively popular UK singer Ed Sheeran, 29, and his wife, Cherry Seaborn, 28, are expecting their first child, according to the UK Sun.
The low-key couple has spent most of the year in lockdown at Sheeran’s Suffolk home, allowing them to keep the pregnancy a secret. The Sun reports that Cherry is in the final stages of her pregnancy and in “coming later this summer”.
“Lockdown was a perfect excuse not to look too much,” states the source of the paper, “but things are getting closer and the excitement is built so they are starting to tell friends and family.”
Sheeran announced in December that he was taking a break from touring and social media, saying he would return with new music “if the time is right and I have lived a little longer to actually write something about it.” However, he broke that hiatus to pop in in May at a Zoom class for a class of UK schoolchildren.
Sheeran and Seaborn were sweethearts in high school; he revealed in his December video for “Put It All On Me” that “a few years ago they were reconnected [and] there were fireworks. The video set the date of their nuptials as January 2019.
