Ed Sheeran has surprisingly announced that he and wife Cherry Seaborne have welcomed a baby girl.
Ed Sheeran and wife Cherry Seaborn have become the parents of a baby girl, weeks after speculating that the wife of a ‘bike’ singer was pregnant.
The 29-year-old Ed also revealed the name he and Cherry have chosen for their baby; Lira Antarctica.
Announcing the good news on Instagram, Ed shared a cute photo of the baby cat with a small pair of sharks and a multi-colored blanket.

Eddie wrote: “Aloe! I have a quick message because I have some personal news that I wanted to share with you … Last week, with the help of a beautiful delivery team, Cherry gave birth to our beautiful and healthy daughter – Lira Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.
“We are in love with her. Both mom and baby are doing amazingly well and we’re here on Cloud Nine.
“We hope you can respect our privacy at this time. I will see you when there is so much love and time to come back, Ed X. ”
Ed was overwhelmed by messages from some of his 31.3 million followers, saying he was on the moon for a new family.
Ed and Cherry got married in 2018 in a top secret ceremony, but the news was not confirmed weeks later.
The couple had known each other since childhood and have been childhood sweethearts.
