Ed Boon appears rumored about an announcement of Mortal Kombat 11 during DC FanDome … but not Unjustice, although the chances also disappear

If there is an Unjustice revelation, we can wait almost a month

The big DC FanDome digital event is scheduled to start later today, and although an announcement of a fighting game appeared more likely, those chances are shrinking quite a bit – for now anyway.

Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon recently took to Twitter on apparent theories and rumors that NetherRealm Studios would be showing new Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath content during DC FanDome, while the door would remain open for Unjustice. Other changes, however, made that less so.

“It’s called DC FanDome,” he wrote Boon on social media. “Not MK FanDome.”

Speculation there may have been some sort of MK11-related revelation following DC’s initial trailer for the event involving Baraka with his Killer Croc skin short.

Rumors started circulating in places like 4chan and saying things like we’ll see Cyrax and Sector announced for Aftermath this weekend, but Warner Bros. have said several times that FanDome is only intended for content related to Detective Comics – and lastly I checked that the cyborg ninjas are not part of it.

However, the appearance of a brand new Injustice title seems to be a very promising candidate for a number of reasons, although this may be out of the question.

Warner Bros. recently changed the schedule for DC FanDome to make the event two days instead of the initial one.

Almost all major revelations such as The Batman, Black Adam and Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad Kills the Justice League will take place in the current broadcast on August 22, and there is really no room for injustice to fit in there now.

There was an incident “To be announced” today although that is no longer mentioned or has been replaced.

Ed Boon will still be present during the event, though his part will now be on the second day, September 12, where he will be on a panel to discuss the creation and workings of the Unjustice universe.

Judging by its 2011 release schedule, NetherRealm’s next title should be released in 2021, with Injustice 3 being the most obvious choice, though Boon has said in the past that the developer’s next project is not. as Mortal Kombat.

Injustice fighting games seem to be making a comeback at some point, as NRS was specifically hired for next-generation projects to do so and Mortal Kombat.

DC FanDome is scheduled to launch today at 10 a.m. PT / 1 pm ET where WB plans to present just about everything they have to offer in the realm of heroes and villi ans with comics, movies, TV shows and video games that are currently in the pipeline.
