Philidelphia will be without Alshon Jeffery to start training camp.
The Eagles announced Tuesday that the veteran catcher has been placed on the active / PUP list.
If 30-year-old Jeffery is not authorized to play before the start of the season, the club may place him on the reserve / PUP list. If that happens, you would have to stay on the sidelines for at least the first six weeks.
The veteran catcher suffered a foot injury in week 14 that took him to the injured reserve and made him miss the rest of the season and the team’s playoff matchup against the Seahawks. His absence left a noticeable hole in an already exhausted WR body.

- The New York Jets announced that they have officially changed security Jamal Adams to the Seattle Seahawks.
Jets receive security Bradley McDougald, the Seahawks first and third round picks in 2021 and a first round pick from 2022. The Seahawks acquire Adams and a fourth round pick from 2022.
- Ex twice Pro Bowler Dontari Poe and fellow defensive lineman Tyrone Crawford have been actively / physically unable to perform by the Dallas Cowboys. Crawford missed most of last season due to a hip injury, while Poe, who joined Dallas in the offseason, is recovering from a broken quadriceps.
- Carolina Panthers are placing punter Michael Palardy (Torn ACL) on the reserve / non-soccer injury list, effectively ending his season, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday, according to an informed source.
Palardy suffered the leg injury he kicked during the offseason, but hoped to kick it, Pelissero added. The 28-year-old, who played all 16 games in each of the past three seasons, will now undergo surgery in hopes of returning in 2021. Palardy has been with the club since 2016.
The team then announced the appointment of Palardy. Carolina also announced offensive lineman Greg Little (knee) will start camping on the active / PUP list, UDFA OL Branden Bowen will be on the active / reserve list with an illness unrelated to football and OL Juwann Bushell-Beatty has been renounced
- Pittsburgh Steelers signed running back Wendell Smallwood to a one year contract. He played 15 games for Washington in 2019, and spent his first three seasons occupying the Eagles field.
- The Miami Dolphins have placed the cornerback Xavien Howard (knee) in the active list / PUP. He was placed on the injured reserve in October.
- The Indianapolis Colts placed tight end Mo Alie-Coxand defensive ends Jegs Jegede and Kemoko Turay in the asset / PUP. Turay suffered an ankle fracture in week 5 and was placed in IR on October 14. The team also launched tight end Matt Lengel.
- Jacksonville Jaguars claimed former Bills offensive lineman Garrett McGhin out of exemptions.
- The San Francisco 49ers announced a lot of moves on the list:
Corner Agent Free Exclusive Rights Emmanuel Moseley signed his one-year offer. Defensive linemen Ronald Blair III, Kentavius Street and Jullian Taylor; receiver Shawn Poindexter and center Weston richburg have been placed on the active / PUP list. Defensive back DJ Reed Jr. and receiver Deebo Samuel have been placed on the list of active / non-soccer related injuries. General manager John Lynch previously said that Samuel “may miss some games.” Linebacker Joey Alfiericornerback Jermaine kelly, safety Derrick Kindredoffensive lineman Ray smith and quarterback Broc Rutteer have been resigned Receiver Chris Finke was placed on the list of foregone / non-soccer related injuries and defensive lineman Willie Henry Jr. landed on the list of waived / non-soccer related illnesses.
- Vic Beasley, who signed a one-year contract with the Titans, was placed on the reserve list / unreported, reported Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network.
