The Philadelphia Eagles released their third and final official injury report ahead of their 10th week game against the New York Giants on Friday.
Only one player ruled: Craig James.
James fully participated on Wednesday but missed practice on Thursday with a new shoulder injury. His absence leaves the Eagles’ depth deeper on the outside cornbuckle and damages their special teams unit. Philly will lift Michael Jacquet from the practice team if he wants more corner want depth.
Early in the Christmas miracle, the Eagles have no other players listed with injury positions on their final injury report. What a concept!
That means Miles Sanders, Alson Jeffrey, Lane Johnson, Malik Jackson, Jack Driscoll, and Creovan LeBlanc are all set to play this week after missing previous times.
Sanders ’return is apparently a big positive development for the offense. It is an explosive threat as both a runner and a pass catcher.
Jeffrey will enter the 2020 season on Sunday. It is not clear exactly how it will be used or how much it will play in its first game since mid-December 2019. One would have hoped that Jeffrey’s return would not mean less time to play for promising young talents like Travis Fulgam and Jillian Rigger. . With Jeffrey Beck, it’s possible that both JJ Arsega-Whiteside and Quiz Watkins could be inactive as healthy scratches. There will be at least one of them.
Johnson’s right is about to start, but it remains to be seen if he can really finish the game for the first time since this week, with Jordan Mailata backing up Jason Peters in the left-hander.
It’s not clear if Isaac Simalo, who is currently on the injured reserve, will be active for Sunday’s game. De Pedg told the Peders that this week Siumalo was limited to just dealing. If Seymoullo doesn’t play, the Eagles could use the following offensive line arrangement against the Giants:
Left Hull – Jason Peters
Left guard – Net Herbig
Center – Jason Kells
Right guard – Matt Prior
Right Hull – Lane Johnson
However, if Mailata is on the bench, it will be very disappointing to see Prior get time to play. Especially when Peters could be moved to the guard and Mailata could play to the left.
Flatter Cox missed Friday’s practice due to co-covid related illness. Should be okay for Sunday though.
The Eagles revealed that player staff director / senior defensive assistant Jeremy and Wash Shaburn were members of the coaching staff who tested positive for COVID-19. He will not travel with the team in North Jersey; His responsibilities “will be assumed by other members of the defensive coaching staff.”

New York Giants Injury Report (Friday)
Putting Devonta Freeman on the injured reserve could be bad news for the Giants Eagles. Freeman was averaging just 2.2 yards per carry; He had a three-run rush for eight yards against Philly in the weekend. Their absence adds to the touch of Wayne Gellman (4.4) and Alfred Morris (.6.), Who are more efficient walkers.
The former Eagles wide receiver is questionable to play the Golden Tate after being limited to Thursday and Friday. The Tets have seven receptions for 107 yards (15.3 averages) and two touchdowns in three games against the Birds since joining the Giants. If he can’t play, Week 9th standout Austin could be in line for more playing time.
The projected start cornbuck is Isaac Iyadom is a new addition to the Giants ’injury report with a calf issue. New York are already bent on corners so it won’t be good for them if they can’t get it right or play through an injury.
The Giants will likely activate the promising colored linebacker Tai Crowder before Sunday. Crowder did not play in the first meeting between the two teams.
