Eagles Training Camp: 10 winners, 4 losers and 9 after 2 weeks of practice I don’t know

Last week we saw the biggest winners and losers from the Philadelphia Eagles training camp after the first five days of practice. Now it’s time for some updated winners, losers, and I don’t know after seeing five more practices (not much fun for Benjamin Solak of BGN).

Jelan Regor

Darius Slay admits to Rager “Great catch“On the 1-on-1 rep where the three-time Pro Bowl went back to Cornback for a colored deep deep touchdown. Unsafe.Ruchi has no trouble making difficult catches in traffic.I don’t know if he’ll be a fulltime starter by jumping, but he will play and make a kind of instant impact.

JJ Arkega-Whiteside

At the risk of JJAW’s good looks again in the summer, I’m ready to say that it looks definitely improved. Everything went beyond what everyone who picked in the second round of 2019 saw. He made some real impressive grubs in the Red Zone drill this week. Starting with the X position is a natural fit for the JJAW, although I think it will go somewhat with Regar.

John Hightower

Winning representatives of the Hightower in many ways. He has beaten the defensive back with his deep deep motion. It has opened with a sharp root-run. He has left the defenders behind to make a highlight catch. Really encouraging content. Hightower will not be a starter but will be able to get rotational playing time. To look as important as a person with no significant depth to live around.

Turn off the burnet

This dude needs to team up. Even if that means the Eagles have to have seven receivers. Burnett makes good catches daily. Anyone who has a better camp than Greg Ward can make a case. And that’s not to obscure the ward, which I like. But when we compare those two, Burnett is only 22 while Ward is 25. Burnett isn’t the biggest guy and he doesn’t have a great athletic profile but he’s definitely good at the sport. When it is opened, it opens and makes a difficult catch. I don’t really see this as new to Brown. Burnett got a big catch in Week 17 last season and did some good stuff during the New York Jets period.

Jason Peters

Peters is the winner because he no longer has to worry about being transferred to the true guard. He is facing left side for the 2020 season with Andre Dillard. As a reminder, Pro Football.l Focus had Peters, who faced his sixth-highest ranking in 2019.

Matt Prior

Pryor’s summer was good; I’ve seen him admire like teammates and coaches. Peters will move back to the left craft and he will move to the starting right guard spot. A good friend, Trakthamas, joined BGN earlier this summer. In an interview with Prairie actually gave gas.

Nature SUDFELD

Sudfeld created the “losers” section of last week’s article, but I’m putting him in the winners here because he had some good systems and Jalen Hurts has cooled down a bit. De Pedge insisted to the Padres that Sudfeld is still the No. 2 quarterback and that it was very clear during the practice day where he took almost all the non-Carson Wentz raps. Sudfeld also got some work with the first team at one point. With all this said, I still think Hurtz will leave Sudfeld behind at some point. But that hasn’t happened yet.

Cory convention

Clement has a lot of long runs and he usually looks good. Most importantly, it has managed to stay healthy after the previous couple has been equipped in training camps. Miles Sanders of Clement and the Eagles are third behind Boston Scott. There won’t be a big offensive role but someone will see some occasional touch while serving as a player of significant depth.

TJ Edwards

Edwards’ summer has been good. The second-year linebacker is a smart and instinctive player, helping to overcome his relative lack of size and athleticism. I don’t know if Edwards will become a full-time linebacker next to Nathan Gary; The Eagles are splitting the space between him and Duke Riley, who have also done some good things. AdWords should be useful when it is Is On the ground.

Casey tool

I don’t think the Tuhill roster got much of a chance to come to camp. He saw that he needed to bulk up before he could really flash. But Tuhill proved me wrong by appearing too active in practice. He has won many battles for the “sacks” though against backup offensive linemen. He’s still only the fifth or sixth defensive end at best so he’s not playing much. The edge rush below the line can develop into a third or fourth person in rotation.

Lost

Andre Dild

It wasn’t great to see the player get the Eagles ’deal in the first round last year at the foot of the opening quarterback by a former undefeated free agent. That could be Wentz’s season right there. Instead, it’s Dillard who is out for a year after suffering a biceps injury during a 1-on-1 rap on Thursday. 2020 could be an opportunity for Dillard to establish himself as the Ingles franchise takes over on the left. Now he will have doubts about going to his age in the 26-year season next year. Really sucks for both her and the team.

SIDNEY JONES

Jones only participated in team drills for the first two of the Eagles ’10 total practices. Defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz also admitted he was spending time to show what he had achieved. In that vein, Jones is doing nothing to get his place on the 53-men roster. The Eagles probably won’t give up on its potential and wouldn’t like to keep it as a deep backup. But the problem with doing that is that he’s not really known as a contributor to special teams. Jones has more value to the Eagles in the trade – even for a lower return – than to stay idle when she hopes he will eventually pay. They just can’t wait forever.

Josh Perkins

It is not entirely clear how Perkins was injured but has been sidelined this season after suffering serious injuries to his upper body. Easter puts him before the roster cut on the injured reserve meaning he is unfit to be active this year. Perkins had a solid chance to make 53 as a third tight end – or at least a practice squad, but now it won’t.

All in general

Well, I should probably take a big push because I’m literally hurting all these guys. But, once a football guy said, ‘You can’t make a club into a tub.’ Avery is the winner if he gets out of the car and avoids injury at the end of the season. It is reported to be “day-to-day” with bruises. Then again, being out for the Avery season would have allowed him to stick to the injured reserve. If his injury is minimal, the Eagles will only have to cut him off as he has been outplayed by St Staman, Tuhill and Sharif Miller.

I do not know

Carson WENTZ

To say that there has been a bad camp in Wentz would not be an understatement. He has thrown a lot of good. Still would love to see him cut on an inaccurate pass. I realize he will always be a part of the Wentz experience and the Eagles can live with it if he does big plays. It just seems like there comes a time when Ventz always has the opportunity to use a little more nuance instead of throwing straight bullets. It’s called night-picking if you need to. Regardless, I’m still high on Wentz’s point of view. I put it in the “winners” section last week because it looks like it might actually have some legitimate recipients who throw. By the same token, he might really deserve to be in the “losers” this week, potentially becoming the offensive line. So, I’ll split the difference and put it here.

Jillian Hurt

As I’ve written before, the hurts during the first week of practice have really cooled down. Again, the rookie quarterback hasn’t been bad in any way. And I still think he will leave Sudfeld behind at some point. Just don’t think it’s going to happen before week 1. Hurt would love to see a little less run in practice because we already know he’s really good and the defense can’t touch him. Would love to see the ball come out a little faster as opposed to holding it.

Quiz Watts

Watkins has had a few drops, but I’ve seen better than worse from him. However, I’m putting it in the IDK, because the six receivers are looking better than the argument. Very confident that Watkins will form the team. Can be inactive on game day? Or not if he is playing special teams. Excluding the injury, don’t think we’ll see it on the offense.

Jordan Mileta

When I did my last-man-men roster projection (new coming tomorrow), I left Melata because he didn’t get a place on the team. He would certainly form a squad with Dillard injured now. When Dillard misses the time of practice he will face the left side in the first team. It doesn’t seem credible though. Ped Pederson’s response to them this week was not very encouraging, as my BGN. Radio co-host Jimmy Kempsky made a good presentation:

“Mailata is doing some good things. It shines from time to time. Again, keeping in mind that football is relatively new to him. He hasn’t had a lot of game experience, outside of preseason games in the past, but he’s also doing a really good job there on the left side, and there’s probably someone who can probably swing from the left side. Right if needed. “

That price probably sounds admirable. it’s not. There are three issues:

Mailata began cross-training in the right hand last year, and told the Padres that “potential” he could play there, “if needed.” By comparison, Halapolivati Vaitay played LT and RT in his rookie season. So it’s not great that so far Mailata won’t be able to cope with the swing for sure.

Yes, football is “relatively new” to Mailata, but when is the “new football” crunch removed at some point? This is his third year of NFL coaching.

“Flashing” from time to time is good if you’re a huge receiver or running back. Like, if you have two drops, but then you make an acrobatic 40-yard TD catch, no one cares about the drops. Consistency is more important than the occasional really impressive representative when you are an abusive lineman. Nobody cares if you punch someone in a play, if you leave the bag-fumble the next day.

The Eagles should sign a pit swing tackle to get ready if Peters goes down. Believing in Mylata is a big leap of faith.

Prince Taga Vanogo

I think PTW has done some great things by keeping the third string to the left. His share has risen since Dillard was injured. If it hurts Peters it will really prove to be the top backup left. It’s hard to count on that though. PTW is still relatively new to football and it should be noted that he was ruled out of the 2020 NFL Draft due to a knee injury. Not sure if she’s ready to play the whole thing as a colorful wardrobe. But he can be anyway.

CRAIG James

James has lost a few delegates, but he has gone back and won some. He is racking up another team ahead of Rasul Douglas with Jones Out. James Jones doesn’t have the theoretical upside, but he’s more durable and he’s really a very special teams player, which is important for the bottom of the roster guys. James deserves more than Jones on the team. But, it doesn’t matter if the Eagles still value Jones’ potential. James is on the roster bubble.

Elijah Holy

Holyfield is clearly running behind No. 4 Sanders, Scott and Clement. He has some nice runs and he doesn’t look out of place to catch the ball. But do the Eagles keep four backs? I think they probably will go heavy on the receiver. Holyfield may have to settle for a practice squad venue where the Eagles are able to move him up and down through a new 55-man roster system.

Noah Togiai

Tokii Perkins goes down and feels like a winner by default. He won’t be beaten by Caleb Wilson or Tyrone Swaps. But the Eagles can only choose to have two tight ends. Or they may forgive the third tight end following the final cut.

Travis Fulgam

Fulgam has gotten some nice catches despite just joining the team last week. He has no prospect of making 53 and will not be able to put a definite faith in the practice team. But he has made the most of his limited opportunities so far.
