Terry McLaurin is listed as a suspect and has not practiced all week. He has been dealing with an ankle injury for a month, and this could be the week that eventually puts him aside. Rookie WR Antonio Gandhi-Golden is practicing and Ron Rivera said they could activate him with IR this week. Antonio Gibson is still dealing with a turf Tony injury that has kept him inactive since he went out in the 1st quarter of the Steelers game 3 weeks ago. It has been limited throughout the week, and may require another week to get ready for the game. The team signed Lamar Miller from the Bears Practice Squad last week and he could play for a while this week. And finally an Alex Smith update. He has been officially listed as questionable this week, but Ian Rapoport says he is 50/50 to play this week. Smith was a full participant in today’s practice, the first for him since the 49ers left the game in the 2nd quarter due to a calf strain. The organization is optimistic he can play this week. Ron Rivera said it would be up to Smith to find out how he feels and they would not make a decision until Sunday morning.

Running behind Christian McFarry, left-handed Russell Okung and Cornbrook Troy Pride are all listed as suspects, and defensive end Brian Burns is listed as questionable. While the questionable position is usually used for players who expect (it probably changed a few years ago), defensive coordinator Phil Snow said yesterday that the Burns are not expected to be favorable on Sunday.
