Eagles Injury Report: Jalen Rigor to lose time with toe injury and more

Eagles rookie receiver Jillian Regor tore the UCL in her toe on Sunday and will be out in at least a few weeks.

League sources told NBC Sports Philadelphia that the 21-year-old Rigger will have to go to the IR and undergo surgery to correct the tears.

The UCL outbreak is the same injury that kept Drew Bryce out of five games last year. That injury was on Bryce’s throwing arm. So expect Rigger to miss at least three games on the IR and possibly more than this injury. A toe injury is difficult for the recipient.

According to a report by John Clarke of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Rigger is unlikely to return after 9 weeks of the Eagles.

But it’s not worth it that Rigger histor has historically been a quick healer.

During training camp, Rigor suffered a tear in his shoulder, but he was able to return for the opener of the season. The initial period with that injury was that he would have been out for at least the first few weeks of the season, but he was able to play in Week 1. If he is a quick healer, then he will probably be able to recover from this injury by week.

It is also worth noting that the injured Rams suffered during the loss and Rigger was still able to finish the game. The child is tough. The Eagles will clearly miss him during his absence. In his first two games, TCU has received five passes from 96 yards taken in the first round.

Without Rigger, the Eagles have Decin Jackson, Greg Ward, JJ Arsega-Whiteside and John Hightower as healthy receivers on their roster. Elsh on Jeffrey is on the roster but he is still not practicing as he will be recovering from his Lisfranc injury from 2019. Rookie Quiz Watkins is on IR but will be eligible to return from a back injury after this coming week.

In the short term, there is a good chance that Dante will bring Burnett out of the practice squad. The 22-year-old, who dropped out of the USC, joined the Eagles last year and grabbed a huge 41-yard pass at the end of the regular season. And then this summer he took a tremendous training camp.

Some other Eagles injury notes:

  • Fletcher Cox is a day by day. He was not practicing on Wednesday. Cox was injured during Rams’ loss.
  • Rudy Ford (groin) is week to week. Without him in practice on Wednesday, Cranwon LeBlanc and Kevin Wallace were the top gunners on the Punt team.
  • De Sean Jackson and Malik Jackson were given rest days on Wednesday.
