Dua Lipa shows some great star power with her new remix Future Nostalgia cut “Levitating” from The Blessed Madonna with Madonna and Missy Elliott.
The remix, which fell on Thursday (August 13), is nothing short of epic.
“I decided to take the party a notch with the easy The Blessed Madonna, who secretly helped me create the mixtape that would be Club Future Nostalgia and the absolute queens Missy Elliott and Madonna joined me for an epic remix of ‘Levitating,’ “Lipa said in a statement.
“It’s no exaggeration to say that reimagining Dua’s amazing album ‘Levitating’ with Madonna and Missy Elliott was my dream come true,” The Blessed Madonna added. “That’s a phrase that is used too much, but in this case it is absolutely literal … Part of this being was not only an honor, but the very best medicine for dancing feet sitting at home. I hope so. it is the spirit of every one that heareth, as it hath lifted up from me. I am true.
The pop star also posted the accompanying visual on her Instagram Wednesday (August 12), which includes her in a bed of roses under a burning red light. “13TH AUG. LEVITATING REMIX @MISSYMISDEMEANORELLIOTT @MADONNA @THEBLESSEDMADONNA 9AM LA / 12PM NY / 5PM LONDON,” she added the snippet.
Sy first announced the remix with “My Idols” on July 27, which alongside a Mark Ronson and Gwen Stefani-assisted “Physical” remix and more groovy valuable goodies on the Club Future Nostalgia remix album. The 24-year-old artist confirmed to a questioning fan in the comments section of her “Levitating” remix video teaser that she will be releasing the remix LP on August 28th.
