A man was arrested Wednesday night in Edmonton, London, when a car collided head-on with a police station.
The incident, which took place shortly after 7pm, saw a vehicle collide with a police station in north London, a police statement said. An arrest – reportedly of the driver – took place at the scene, which was attended by expert officers.
The police station was evacuated, and officers, including armed officers, set up a cordon around the scene.

Ugur Mazlam, who witnessed the incident on a London-based talk radio station, said: “He was trying to get through the main entrance, a piece of glass, and inside. Found it, he pulled out a can of gasoline and tipped it to the floor between the car and the road and adjusted it slightly. “
Serif Mazlam added: “[The driver] Looked like a pretty sensible guy. It was intentional. It’s horrible. As soon as my husband sent me the video he said we were closing [the shop] And coming home. ”

No injuries were reported from the scene tonight, police said.
Edmonton MP Kate Edmont deleted her initial tweet calling the incident a “big event,” and retweeted it as an “event.”

UK Rajinda message The tabloid newspaper reports that several videos claiming to be from the scene have been shared on social media. It was not investigated by police, while a video shared by television journalist Mark White shows officers arresting a man on the pavement outside the station and a car on the pavement.
Another video, which could not be re-examined by police and re-referenced by UK media reports, showed a man pouring petrol on the road before resting.

Edmonton MP Kate Osamore posted a relay on social media that a “major incident” had been announced at the scene, stressing that the incident was more than a normal accident. However, London’s Metropolitan Police have not announced why the incident is being investigated.
The drive at the London Police Station comes just days after the UK government raised the national counter-terrorism threat level to its second highest level. Serious classification means that the likelihood of an attack in the United Kingdom is highly regarded, but no specific intelligence regarding an imminent attack is known by the government.
Significant measures led to deadly terrorist attacks in France and Riyadh, followed by a crackdown on radical Islamism by the French and Austrian governments.
