Drake Eyeing makes his UK debut with ‘Laugh Now Cry’


Joel Corry and MNEK’s summer mash “Head & Heart” runs after a fifth week at no. 1 in the UK, while Drake is heading for a high-profile debut with “Laugh Now Cry,” his collaboration with Chicago rapper Lil Dirk.

Based on 48 hours of sales and streaming, “Head & Heart” has a “comfortable” lead, according to the Official Charts Company. It has the top spot on the official map: First look with a margin of 5000 ticket sales, with Nathan Dawe with KSI’s “Lighter” appearing at no. 2 the castle.

Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry” starts at no. 3 on the sales blast, and is set on the Canadian rapper’s 17th Top 5 single and first appearance on the official UK Singles Chart for Lil Durk.

The next top debut could be “Midnight Sky” by Miley Cyrus. It is on no. 13 on the preliminary chart and looks forward to the pop singer’s 13th Top 20 hit.

Electronic music productions Paul Woolford and Diplo could impact the Top 20 with “Looking For Me” featuring Kareen Lomax, 29-18 vaulted in the First Look poll.

The Official UK Singles Chart will be fully published last Friday.
