Dr.’s disrespect is said not to have moved to YouTube

With no official news from broadcaster Dr. Disrespect about his upcoming streaming plans after his ban on Twitch, viewers of the broadcaster have been left to figure out what his next move might be on his own. A recently noticed update to his Twitter profile saw his Twitch link replaced by a YouTube one that spurred suggestions that he might be moving to the YouTube platform, but according to insider Rod Breslau, no such conversations have taken place. between YouTube and Dr. Disrespect. Going one step further, it has been reported that “no one” is speaking to the transmitter at the moment about such agreements.

Breslau, an insider and esports consultant, appeared during a HasanAbi broadcast to discuss the news feed related that Donald Trump was not barred from the possible move from Twitch and Ninja to YouTube. During a discussion about the latter, Breslau said that Ninja was talking to YouTube and Twitch about what to do next. After mentioning Shroud as well, another high-profile streamer who was homeless after Mixer’s closure, Breslau said those two were some of the biggest streamers in the West. HasanAbi stepped in to mention Dr. Disrespect to which Breslau responded by saying “no one speaks to Dr. Disrespect”.

Clarifying those comments right after, Breslau said he can confirm that YouTube is not speaking to Dr. Disrespect at this time.

Mixer’s closure predated Dr. Disrespect’s ban in just a few days, as they both left renowned streamers with no dedicated platforms to stream. Streamers like Ninja have since returned for their own individual broadcasts, but Dr. Disrespect has not said that it has broadcast again nor has it said much, other than a brief statement that Twitch had not told him why it had been banned.

Dr. Disrespect’s updated bio on Twitter with his YouTube channel also fueled speculation that he would end up on YouTube instead of Twitch, though that is apparently not the case. The much more likely explanation for the biographical change is that Dr. Disrespect simply wanted to direct people to his YouTube channel, which has been live since 2010, seeing that you can’t see any of his stuff on Twitch right now. It hasn’t been updated with new videos in two weeks, but having some content on display is better than having no content.

As of now, neither Dr. Disrespect nor any of the other bigger streamers like Ninja have made public decisions on where they will stream next.
