Dr. Pepper is still available in Palm Beaches, for now

If we needed another thing to add to the horrific things that happened in 2020, you can now add Dr Pepper to the list of items you might find difficult.

On Wednesday, WPTV NewsChannel 5’s Taste and See South Florida went to 15 locations to check for shortages in Palm Beaches and found only one location that was completely out of the product. Mostly, Dr. Pepper had in cans and plastic bottles in stock.

The Walgreens in Jupiter on Indiantown Road and Military trail was the only location that had the soda maker’s new Cream Soda flavor launched in March. As of this writing, you can find it in the cool section.

According to Dr. Pepper, the deficiency affects every taste. The makers of Charmin toilet paper sent the soda maker a message on Twitter, “Welcome to the club. We feel your pain.”

To which Dr. Pepper replied, “TP and DP – In this together.”

The company that owns the brand has shared that Dr. Pepper’s sales have “consistently increased over the last four years.”

Back in July, aluminum cans also faced a shortage problem even before the pandemic hit due to high demand.

They say they are collaborating with other distribution partners to meet the increased demand and customers should continue to check with stores on their product.
