Dr. Anthony FauciI’m finally talking about that first-game DISASTER disaster in the Washington Nationals … and the doctor has EXCUSES!
Sore arm Bad training. Misjudging the distance.
COME TO FAUCI !!!
The Doc opened up about the debacle in the ESPN Daily Podcast – admitting that he had not thrown a baseball in decades and was not adequately prepared for the honor.
“I had been practicing for 2 days before on a walk that I thought was 60 feet, but was actually probably 45 feet,” said Fauci.

“I was pitching and pitching and pitching and I hit it, but only 45 feet!”
“And I hurt my arm because I haven’t literally thrown a baseball in decades.”
Fauci continued … “So when I was preparing to go out on the mound, my arm was killing me, but I said hell, I could hold on and throw it the way I had been practicing.”
But, when Fauci reached the mound, the doctor says he panicked: “I said, ‘OMG, Sean Doolittle looked like he was 200 feet away!”
Fauci says he changed his throwing motion to try to overcompensate for distance and pain … but it was counterproductive.
“I finished up and threw it like a bullet, only it went out to the left.”
“So it was my bad, until the end.”
Yes, baseball is not going to work for Fauci. Don’t quit your daily job!
